Traveling this great land where freedom rings and echoes amongst the people I have been exposed to a couple of truly unique pocket knives this past couple of weeks.
I am indeed honored to show you the following images of a camping style knife (Pat. 816929) used in the Vietnam War by my brother in-law.
Imagine the images running through my mind (and I'm only imagining, I didn't serve) knowing the iminent danger that lingered from possible enemy attacks as my brother in-law explained eating his meals with this tool. Impossible for me to imagine.
Steel brother sahlute to the freedom we enjoy because of those who risked their lives for us!

Thanks for the pictures! Our neighbor just gave this same model knife to my Boy Scout son. A great gift! We'll be getting it professionally sharpened because of the number of nicks in the blade. He's looking forward to taking it on his next camping trip!
That is awesome!! Awesome neighbor!!
BTW, we looked up this patent number and it does not for a US patent. The US patent number 816929 was issued in 1906 for a fly catcher!
